Hey everyone, come and see how good I look

this is josh posting because for some reason i cant start posts as nimblesmcpimbles (ming help me out...). but i think its time to start a little convo, maybe a little contro to spice shit up, so here's my list of the top 10 rock albums of the 2000s:

10) Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
9) Permission to Land - The Darkness
8) Is This It? - The Strokes
7) Turn on the Bright Lights - Interpol
6) Agaetis Byrjun - Sigur Ros
5) Elephant - The White Stripes
4) Funeral - Arcade Fire
3) The Moon and Antarctica - Modest Mouse
2) Kid A - Radiohead
1) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco

just missing the cut: you forgot it in people, hail to the thief, amnesiac, sea change (which i guess isnt rock, but neither is sigur ros then, whatever)

let the cyber-lynching of my good taste commence

I don't really care... what do you think Hovey?

I think the shins deserve applause for their 2003 effort "Chutes Too Narrow," and also Spoon's "Kill the Moonlight", i think frusciante should also go to hell with the rest of the post heroin addict burnouts. That guy stinks

btw, Klatt and any others...
what's a good Gomez album to get?

Will this century never get monikered a decent nickname? For crissake, can someone in our clan cook up a name so we can start counting the royalties?

Chutes Too Narrow bumps #7.
I struggle to leave these LPs out of the top 10: Sung Tongs (art rock?); thickfreakness; Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes...

To the youth who took steriods to hit the ball to the tennis courts in like 5th grade: Bring It On, Gomez

Until Lolla shapes up and realizes that regular, God-fearing music fans aren't made of money and starts selling individual day passes, I refuse to indulge. Plus(!!), prior to the WC, I have little responsibility outside of writing a few paragraphs and spending all my per diem on oversized beers. Start this tournament already!

I agree with many here especially Interpol, Radiohead, Modest Mouse and Sigur Ros. I think some bands that deserve at least mention are "...and you will know us by the Trail of Dead", "Broken Social Scene", "Small Brown Bike" and "The Mars Volta"

Yes.. just my 4 cents

I think this just turned into an actually blog if this last "SJ" post turns out to be as random as it appears.

what the hell is going on?

I leave for one week and this is the shit I have to come back to? Who's gonna step up to the plate here? Hovey sucks.

SJ is right though...as good as permission to land is...broken social scene deserves a 9 or 10 spot.

bobby--there's no fucking way tv on the radio is #1. also, wolfmother sucked live and brmc is pretty middle-of-the-road. you're so ignorant sometimes. why don't you just strap on some mickey mouse ears and tickle some babies at the epcot center?

Just to re-add a comment - remove Small Brown Bike... why they were the BEST in my mind at that time is odd. I guess I just miss them.. haha
