Wilmette Bowl IV

After Wilmette Bowl IV was canceled last year due to Global Warming, the town awaits the decision to hold the game once again. Fans and players both want the game to resume, but it's not that easy. There are many factors in play here. Will the inconsistent Zach Novak be able to finally stand up to his parents at age 22 and be able to stay the whole game? Are there going to be any additions or subtractions to teams? Does the West Side even want to play, or are they scared that quarterback Charlie Herrmann finally started puberty? So guys, it's on the table. Everyone needs to respond to this post, we need to get an idea of whats gonna happen. Let the trash talking begin!

I'm in if your letting the Winnetka superstars join this year to dominate.

how would we work this in? ideas? also, i dont get home till turkey day morn, so it may have to be a late arrival ala freshmen year cool squad v. centralians but this time with greater results. ive been sticking to a strict regiment of watching little giants each evening before bed. east side pride till i died. and perhaps arguably equally important, when and where is fight night!?!?!?!? i cant wait for that!!!!

i vote we split winnetka down the middle... west side gets hootie and witty... east side gets cooper and peter slaven

I second that with sherman - "The inches are EVERYWHERE around us!"

The West Side applauds God's work as he heats the world for our enjoyment. May the rising waters reclaim the heathens and forsaken who drive with reckless abandon on the lesser-than side of our fair town. No sleep till Fight Night.

big mistake shermy letting the slave-driver go. His spin move is very unforgiving. Although maybe gryll and witty should be on different teams to set the tone for fight night 2k7!!!!!!!

Respond with a "yey" if you agree with these teams or a "ney" if you do not agree with these teams. I believe that a 2/3 vote of "yey" should result in the finalizing of these teams. I put my vote down as "yey".

yey

yey, and i like how you already started putting asterisk by everyone's name. let the arguing begin!

Yey, and to all those from the wrong side of Ridge, here's a little intro to one of the many treasures of the east side, the scage.

Sorry, just got back from a full day at the gym, 9-5, it's what I do now. A few questions. Has anyone talked to Lebowski in the past year? We tacklin'? Can the east side get a team mtg in before the match?

Who's going to step up to the cranberry challenge?

I am supremely confident in securing a victory this year. So confident that if we lose I will eat three cans (not the actual cans) of cranberry sauce at fight night. This challenge is void unless a member of pest wilmette agrees to do the same.

Alright men and boys--strap it up, hunker down. It's time to get physical. Yey!

Some things I love about the east side: brick roads, hot moms, nice cars, clean sidewalks, no hobos, std-free children, people that brush their teeth, stop signs, chill spot, chuck wagon, optima building, no mormon churches, minimal jew presence, plenty of whites, sunshine and central school. The list 'tis long--add away fellow east-siders!

s.a., blockbuster homefield, lake water, klatt, the house that the god's built, go timberwolves!

don't forget: storefront violence, GB on the offensive, bacteria-ridden beaches that charge and crack down (stay with me, this pun is right-on) when it comes to coke, the east side's general lack of a sense of humor...

Matt Sherman said...

Yea! Mike, I'll accept your cran-crazy-challenge... We'll figure out our roster, fret not... Yes tackling, but what about cleats?

What I love about the West (aka Best): the highway, the high ground, the high GB-committed crime rate, the high Mormon and Jew rate, Highcrest, the Junior High, and hitting balls to the playground at Thornwood Park (I can still do it!)

Charlie said...

I say no cleats! not everyone has them, and im not buying them for one game. Some more eastside memories and greatness... Original home of CHSB(Charlie Herrmann Style Baseball), Encore n'more and their wide variety of jenko jeans, Train, Michigan Shores 6-6=0 for free meals, home of pete wentz international superstar, greener grass, purple line, Bahai Temple(one of only 7 in the world, no wonder they put one on the east side of wilmette), and finally a nice boating harbor for our summer yachts 30 years from now. EAST SIDE FOREVER! By the way, does anyone know what happened to GB? Did he go to jail? GB is all heart... a true East Sider. He has so much pride for the East Side that he beat up a girl and an old man from the West Side. That's how much pride GB has for the East and how much hate he has for the West. So in honor of GB, I believe the East Side team should where a GB patch on our uniforms. GB gave up his freedom, his life and probably his asshole by now to fight for the East against the West. This is the least we could do.

I'm not even an official resident of Winnetka -- so please exclude me from you petty Winnetka transactions. The address on my drivers license reads 226 N. Clinton St., Chicago, IL. And the address on my heart reads, "WEST SIDE."

PS -- Popcorn will be served on the East Side of the Scrounge after school today.

don't worry gryll, ill soften witty up for ya

Got a lot of things to talk about so I'll get right to it:

The issue of the fight- Unfortunately this will have to be a spring event. The hernia gets tucked for the holidays so were gonna have to wait for the defrost. I don't think this should have any effect on the cranberry challenge.

Things I like about West Wilmette-
