so i learned a few days ago that if you load a youtube video... like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIgBhD3dq74&feature=channel
then you put the letters "pwn"
between the "www." and the word "youtube" it allows you to download any video from youtube...
so if you're into "auto tune the news," or if you just want to download a certain interpretive dance to LOTR to your ipod for everyone on public transit to see, you can. Use it wisely.
the result would be like
http://www.pwnyoutube.com/watch?v=MIgBhD3dq74&feature=channel

You can also download video or audio from YouTube by entering the link into mediaconverter.org.
A good way to get free music if you a need a song quick (though the quality might be slightly worse).
I use that to download old audio clips from Adam West's Batman TV series that I cut up in garage band and mix with some music I've made. Quite Fun.
