really need some new music. got the new dirty projectors today, and it's not for everyone who reads this blog but the mikes and klatts and alexs of the world might find it as totally fucking sweet as i do. any recommendos?
The new Phoenix album is as good as they've sounded. Grizzly Bear's new album is reeeaally stellar. Also suggest digging up Jeff Tweedy's past side projects: Loose Fur and Golden Smog. New Connor Oberst features him not being a little bitch and actually making some feel-good country-ish rock. Others worth checking out: new thermals album and sam roberts' album, love at the end of the world.
the phoenix album is a tremendous post shower gay solo dance party--though-been listening to a lot of old shit-Allman Bros. live at Filmore East is super cumworthy, the Descendents album "Milo Goes to College" kicks ass, the track 'Born in Chicago' by the Paul Butterfield Blues Band is for real, and the Replacements' album 'Tim' has become a nice summer time companion to the balls sweats ALSO--If anyone wants a FREE invite to a super legalless torrent site thats pretty good, let me know, i got like 25 of 'em. How about that girl who farted! You know all you fuckerz liked that
you guys beat me to it, i was going to ask about those rising phoenix suns, heard good things about it from other friends but couldn't really take them seriously with that press photo they have on them all on that bed, they look like douches, but ill check it out. and forgot to mention the new grizzles, which i agree with you about mongo
Wilco's new album is streaming over at: http://wilcoworld.net/records/thealbum/play.php Also, if you're into new Griz, check out Department of Eagles and their album "In Ear Park".
And I just dug up The Go! Team from the college collection. That's the band you want playing your birthday party.
I rocked with Andy, Alex and Liv in Seattle over the weekend. If you haven't made it to that city yet, go.
Great suggestions. I'll have a look around *slash* go over to Mike's this week, ay, Mike?
