It's almost like you were saving this post up, it's so good.
The rock critic for the WSJ recently wrote a piece that wondered if anyone under 45 would care about Paul Simon. Would the next generation ever mention Simon in the same sentence as Dylan?

I don't normally get my music news from that paper, but I wrote him to say a few friends and I did care, and that I hoped the Dylan reference could happen, but I wouldn't bet on it.
In his reply, he said boomers had written in to say they didn't care either way. He was glad to hear young people go out of their way to find good music.
I think he will appreciate the link to the original post.
