how i spent my halloween

gather round, and ill tell you a tale. you know my affinity for fads, and these story structure posts are getting traction and i want in. so a couple of weeks ago, i went to az to visit a friend from school, and roughly 10 other guys showed up too. from the time i got picked up at the airport in the explorer we rented, it was a pretty much constant party.
friday night we went to this club and saw felix the house cat, which was sweet-he opened the set with prince. we got bottle service and a vip table. ended up getting asked to take my business elsewhere by the end of the night, im a little hazy on the details, but im sure it ended in me confirming my status as an american while not being allowed into this roped off area that they didnt want to open up that night. was fun. then went back to my friends place-which was pretty rad. i guess real estates really cheap there and pays little for a pool with a gazebo.
then next day we went to joann fabrics to make capes for halloween. i didnt go as walaugi cuz i couldnt find black overalls or even snow pants with a bib, not to mention no luck on a purple tneck. crazy. so we just got capes. then we went to the coyotes game in a luxury box. and the game was awesome. wisniewski who played for the hawks last year leveled the coyotes captn in like the first 5 minutes. completely crushed him and got up visibly dizzy and fell back down, and the play ended when the coyotes defenseman dropped the gloves with wisniewski. then the next shift the captn-doan got on the ice, he dropped the gloves with wisniewski, and there were probably 5 more fights in the game, and ended in a shootout winner for phoenix. and we were kiddie corner to the players wives/girlfriends, total gaggle of babes. and there were prolly 3800 people there. no joke. completely empty.
then after the game we went back to my friends place and got in a stretch limo to go to tempe to spend halloween at asu. so many people, and ran into darth vader. like straight off the death star, this guy spent-so he said-$5000 on this costume. interesting investment. and surprisingly enough, a bunch more very serious costumes. the cast of medieval times. my cape didnt really hold much water, but my mustache pulled me through.
then sunday, about half of the guys left. and so me and three other guys went to this air strip where this kid is training to be a commercial pilot. hes logging hours now, and got his license and instructor's license before. he took us up in this single engine cessna plane and i got to fly. me, i. i got to fly. im a birdman now. it was awesome. and he was really nonchalant about it, and let me line the plane up in the air and make the decent and didnt take over till we were like 20 ft from the strip. it was awesome. flyings like sailing just with another dimension. and the guy who's training likes to do red bull air race type shit and would do all these power dives and stuff, it was soooo scary/awesome.
and so then on monday our flights werent till later so we went to in-out burger and then were trying to figure what to do for the rest of the afternoon. logically, we decided to open up the monday shift was babes gentleman club in scottsdale, az.
suffice to say, i bucketlisted the shit out of that weekend.
