The groups are in and looks like the U.S. has drawn a pretty favorable hand, matched with England, Slovenia, and Algeria. Group G will have Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Portugal battling it out and I am pretty pleased with the cushy spot Italy landed. I wonder if it was really all about the luck of the draw...
Other matches not to be missed will be Germany-Ghana and France-Mexico.

Algerians and Slovenians hope the Americans feel good about this draw. Then they can catch us on that complacency in June. But the truth is, what a relief. The U.S. narrowly missed landing in a thanks-for-coming group like Group G.
A second round match-up could mean facing: Kaiser Wilhelm, Kangaroo Jack, Sasha Djorjovic (Serbia), or the Black Stars of Ghana.
Six months and counting. Italy should fly into the second round but they won't repeat. You heard it here first, Michelangelo.
