191 Apple Tree Road - SOLD

It is with great sadness but also excitement to announce that 191 Apple Tree Road has officially been sold and will be closing in mid December. As the children are now all grown up, it's time for them to start a new chapter in their lives! They will be renting a condo in Skokie for a year until they decide what they want to do for good after that.

Whether it was zach throwing a pool stick across the basement and putting adam into the hospital, klatt surprising my dad in the back storage room while playing beirut, goldberg and sackley's perfect beirut game, the popcorn machine, 2am pool swims, high school quarter games, sherman coming home at 6am on prom night (couldn't even bring the newspaper in!), and many more; all have been great memories that we will never forget. I'm not sure who will be around for Thanksgiving, but I say we get a football game in order along with a pregame/movie for the final time. Hope to see most of you next week back in Chicago!

Everyone loves surprises. And don't forget "Wemple, did you pee on my suit?"

No Chicago turkey for me this year (D.C. with extendeds) but I'm always looking for my next chance to get back.

a true basement for all basements. i dont even know where to start, but i imagine that everyone would agree that coop's house had a higher fun to time spent ratio than any other of our houses, right? no apple tree night ever lacked for genius in the pure fun department, with all credit to its magical proprietor (willy wonka style). see you next wednesday (afternoon).

I know Gryll probably has the fondest romantic memories of Basement de Coop. Classic, classic basement.

More painful than having to lie to my own mother and tell her my suit had gotten "splashed on" by the pool at Casa de Coop... far more painful... was the look of sheer disappointment on Marty's face as I sauntered back newspaper-less at 6am. Rueful

Ah the mule! Let's bring that bad boy back over Thanksgiving. We'll see if we can get it down to good old Koogee 26 (1601 W. Altgeld)

Oh, wait, we can't forget that Apple Tree was where I believe the Jackhammer made her first real public appearance after her that unfortunate moniker was created.

Good ole Apple Tree. Are you keepin the llamas? That basement was truly where boys became, well, drunken boys.

Coop said...

- llamas may be getting sold
- popcorn machine is going to my apartment
- the joker pinball machine is going to my apartment and the volley is getting stored
